Description
Reliable Subaru Outback "grandpa" is looking for a handy owner!
The price is final, as the number is magical and leaves no room for negotiation.

For sale: a true, time-and-road-tested workhorse, a 2009 Subaru Outback "Zombie Slayer".
Fair warning right away – this car is not for the opera or for shows. It is a purely functional "grandpa" that is still ready to work and serve for a long time, but it needs an owner who knows how to adjust the fuel system themselves (injectors or pressure regulator).

Honorable biography and maintenance:
The car was registered in Lithuania in 2009. No dark secrets from foreign auctions. Constantly maintained and loved at a specialized Subaru service center.
The first person to drive the car, straight off the ferry that brought it, was an office asphalt worker. After three years, the car passed into the hands of its second owner, who has had it until now.
Although it is a four-wheel-drive (4x4) tank, it hasn't seen black mud – it mostly worked on asphalt, on light trips to Klaipėda, Tallinn, or Warsaw.

Sacred mileage: Genuine, unrolled 245,778 km.
Super plus: In 2012, the engine block was fully replaced! The old block still functions as a piece of home interior decor :)

Documents and maintenance: TA (technical inspection) is valid for a very long time – until 2026-11! The original car manual is included.

And now about its old-age whims and battle scars:
Engine tantrums: While the engine is cold – it drives just perfectly. However, once it reaches operating temperature, its breathing falters at idle, it starts to shake and stalls. How I "bypass" this – I keep the RPMs higher while moving – then we drive on without any problems. But it is tiring. Mechanics say you'll need to tinker with the fuel system (injectors or pressure regulator), which is beyond my skills.
Bumper vs. Roe Deer: on a night road, driving at about 50 km/h, a fateful encounter with a roe deer occurred. For the deer, it was a kiss of death, while the Subaru proved its toughness; the airbags didn't even deploy. The visual consequence – the front driver-side bumper is slightly skewed. Everything is fixed seriously, manly, and reliably – with "chamuts" (zip ties).
All other bumper corners are also scratched – parking scars. It doesn't bother me, because a tank is not a ship; it doesn't catch the asphalt with its sides.

Heat and ventilation in the cabin: possibly due to age (already a few years ago), the glowing eye for temperature settings (screen/bulb) went out. Therefore, the current driver has developed a sharp intuition and perfectly guesses which direction the ventilation is blowing and where the car is taking air from. The temperature "level" can also be counted out, like unlocking a safe. True magical realism. Both front seats heat up properly. I think the air conditioner doesn't work, most likely the fluid has leaked out – but then again, we don't get that much summer heat in Lithuania anyway.

Trunk protest: the latest news – upon learning it was to be sold, the "grandpa" fell into a deep sadness stubbornly jammed the trunk door. Currently, it no longer opens. It will need an owner who knows how to negotiate with locked latches nicely (or by force).
Body fashion statement – at the bottom of the doors, the classic of Lithuanian winters has appeared – some rust.

If you are that handy person who can fix the fuel tantrums yourself, unlock the trunk, and for whom cosmetic scars don't hinder driving to the forest, fishing, or construction sites – this tank is just for you.

The car is in Vilnius, in the Business Triangle area.
Call us, the car is waiting for a new captain!
