I am selling a reliable piece of machinery, used for its intended purpose. I am the sole owner in Lithuania. I have passed the MOT (TA) three times and covered more than 140,000 km over 4 years. I have always entrusted the car's repairs to a single mechanic who knows no other cars except SuBaru. Oil and other fluids were changed regularly. I just happened to miss the timing belt interval once, which resulted in additional costs. So, regarding the technical condition:
The suspension is excellent, no unusual noises, play, etc.
The clutch is almost new (replaced 1.5 years ago).
Engine belts and oil were changed ~ 2,500 km ago. The mechanic said I can be at peace for 100,000 km (of course, oil needs to be changed every 10,000 km).
There is a small issue worth ~ 400 EUR. The rear gearbox bearing is humming. The problem is not critical, but somewhat annoying. I don't want to invest in it myself anymore, as I am now looking after another vehicle.
The mileage is genuine. There is a service book filled out in Switzerland.
The bodywork is not ideal, but considering its age, it would be unfair to criticize it. Of course, brown bubbles are starting to appear on one fender, there are some Swiss scratches, and some generated by me. But both the mechanic and the MOT inspector praised the underside for being in good shape. (I have no reason to disbelieve them).
The rear bumper is also cracked. I happened to slide down a hill into a stationary obstacle during winter.
The interior has seen certain items that I placed there carelessly (damage is visible in the photos).
The steering wheel cover is there because my hands are used to a thicker grip (that's a joke among car dealers :))). In reality, the upper part is worn, as is the gear lever.
Since I kept sharp objects in my back pocket a couple of times, that didn't go unnoticed either. A couple of small holes on the front seat...
The radio sometimes acts up (more accurately, always, it reacts to potholes). Since an amplifier is connected, some contacts are holding weakly. It plays either quieter or louder.
The climate control works, but incorrectly. It doesn't distribute the airflow where I want it; it blows to the windows and feet. Some gear behind the glovebox needs to be replaced. But it suited me as it was, as I was too lazy to deal with it. The important thing is that it heats and cools.
In the trunk, there is a nice "donut" spare tire and everything needed to mount it. There is also a rubber mat in the back, protecting the trunk from "life."
I am also including R17 alloy wheels with summer rubber (I emphasize, rubber, not tires). I also have R15 steel wheels with winter rubber. Currently fitted are R16 with seasonal tires.
To summarize: The car is quite good as a car, and excellent as a machine with very good off-road capability. Quite spacious and stable on the road. It doesn't require serious repairs, and maintenance is quite inexpensive. Of course, if you have questions about why I am selling such a great option, I will answer: I have a couple of offspring who have caught up to me in height. They don't really fit in the back anymore, so I had to purchase another, larger car.
